The Longest Lutheran Lunch
Food, Lutherans and fellowship a winning mix!

To help launch
'Operation Connect',
your congregation is
invited to hold a
'Longest Lutheran Lunch'.
The dream is to have 'longest'
in three ways:
1. Sit at tables in a single long row.
2. Take your time and have a
long leisurely meal together.
3. Have meals starting in New Zealand, travelling across Australia,
and finishing in Western Australia.
When?
Sunday 30 October Reformation Sunday, the perfect day to celebrate
in a special way God's gift of grace, and what makes us distinctively Lutheran.
Simply create the meal your congregation specialises in German, African, Slovak,
South African, whatever and invite along friends and family!
More details will follow, but mark the date in your calendar now.
Our prayer is the 'Longest Lutheran Lunch' experience will be the perfect entree to
the main course of 'Operation Connect' a website of ideas, recipes and tips on
reaching out through hospitality.
Operation Connect material is provided for inspiration and as a resource. Adapt it to your own context however you wish.
As you do, remember it is your responsibility to make sure you follow child protection requirements,
and your local food safety and hygiene guidelines.
